REKHA NAHAR from Bangladesh started serving the Philippines in January 1989 as a United Nations Volunteer under the United Nations Development Program. After the end of her Five (5) year UN assignment, she stayed with the Theosophical Order of Service (TOS) in the Philippines to continue her Life’s Work. Finding a deep connection with the teachings of the Theosophical Society in the Philippines, she became a member in April 1989. Since then, she has been actively serving the TS Section in the Philippines.

During her active involvement, Rekha has helped implement several community development projects of TOS. One of the milestone projects is the establishment of the TOS Learning Center (TOSLC), a community-based preschool in a depressed community in North Caloocan City. 

Because of her initiative in 2002, another milestone project came to reality. That is the Golden Link College Foundation, Inc., the main campus of which is in Camarin, Caloocan City, and the other three (3) campuses are in Brgy. Santa Teresita, Quezon City, Santa Maria, Bulacan, and Cortez, Bohol. 

At present, Rekha serves as the National President of the Theosophical Order of Service, founding Vice President for Administrative Services of Golden Link College Foundation, Inc., and is also a board member of several charitable institutions in the Philippines.

She has dedicated her entire life to service work to help make this world a better place for all.
