Nancy Secrest serves as the International Treasurer of the TS and as International Secretary of the Theosophical Order of Service (TOS). 

Nancy has been studying metaphysics since childhood. She was introduced to the Theosophical Society at the age of 21 when a local bookshop owner, a theosophist, put a copy of At the Feet of the Master into her bag of purchases. It’s still her favorite theosophical book. Nancy says that it contains all the basics we need to know to progress on the path of self-unfoldment. 

Nancy has lived and worked at Krotona Institute of Theosophy in the USA, at Olcott, the headquarters of the American Section, and is now living and working at Adyar where she is the International Treasurer. Nancy is also the International Secretary of the Theosophical Order of Service. 

“It’s a good balance of head and heart,” Nancy says. Nancy has spoken internationally for the TS and the TOS. Her articles have been published in various Theosophical journals around the world. “Mine has been an incredible journey so far. I’ve been blessed to have known and learned from some amazing people throughout the years. The biggest thing we need to remember though is that our lessons are wherever we are every day of our lives. We just need to pay attention."

She began studying metaphysics and comparative religion in childhood, encountered Theosophy in her early twenties and joined the Theosophical Society in 1980. 

Nancy lived and worked at the Krotona Theosophical Institute in the USA during 1987- 88. She served as National Secretary of the Theosophical Society in America (TSA) from 1988 through 1990. A Certified Public Accountant by profession, Nancy subsequently served as National Treasurer of the TSA for eighteen years. She currently holds the position of International Treasurer of the Theosophical Society. 

Nancy became the International Secretary of the Theosophical Order of Service in December 2014. Since then she has traveled in the USA, Europe and Asia giving presentations, talks, and workshops on TOS work around the world and related theosophical topics. Her articles and some of her talks have been published in The Theosophist and other theosophical publications.
