Saplings selected for planting
1. Black ebony (Diospyros ebenum) native to India, Sri Lanka and Indonesia. Wood is dark (blackish) in colour and highly prized for making furniture. (Listed as Vulnerable)

2. Alexandrian Laurel (Calophyllum inophyllum). Grows into a large tree with lush foliage, with large and very fragrant white flowers

3. Garlic fruit tree (Garcinia spicata). The tree produces a fruit which is edible and has been described as being similar to durian in flavour.

All are indigenous species.
